ABOUT THE CONCERT
Recently named the most-performed composer of his generation, Mason Bates serves as the first composer-in-residence of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. His lovely and innovative Garages of the Valley connects the culture of Silicon Valley to our symphonic tradition in a most novel way. We will present the latest Klein Competition virtuoso in a symphonic debut, and conclude the 2017-18 Season with Brahms’ triumphal and glorious Symphony No. 2 in D.
